This FTSE 100 and global leading business is actively seeking a dynamic and driven Finance Director with strong SSC exposure for a 2 year fixed term contact or potentially a permanent role based in London, with some international travel.
The role will manage the outsourced Finance Team, providing financial reporting and transactional services back to the group's regional shared services teams and to the global businesses directly. The main focus for the next few years will be to embed the new service culture, drive people and behavioural development and facilitate the effective operation of the financial shared service network across the globe. The role will require experience of the commercial aspects of outsourcing processes to a third party, managing the supplier, services against the contract & commercials, and developing people capability. In partnership with the EMEA CFO, you will lead the financial transition towards a Shared Service Centre environment within the region, including the assessment of alternative operating models. You will also manage and direct the forum responsible for building the process owner teams in order to drive adoption of best practice in process development.
The role will report directly into the Global Transformation Director and will work very closely with the regional Shared Services leads in the United States, EMEA, APAC and India.
Skills and experiences required:
Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA/Prince II
Previous experience of setting up and running a financial shared services project, including experience of operating in an outsourced shared services environment, and in managing outsource implementations and ongoing contracts.
R2R and P2P experience within a shared service centre environment
Strong negotiational and influencing skills
